My academic background has helped me to be analytical and to learn the use of different research methodologies. Understanding the social aspects, constraints, or structural problems makes me better understand users, their context, and therefore, the use of a product or service.
As a project manager I'm confortable with tight deadlines, planning, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders. My professional experience as a researcher has taught me the importance of empathy and to be analytical in order to come up with reliable data based solutions.
I like pushing myself out of my confort zone as it is when you learn the most. By hitchhiking or backpacking I discovered different cultures, and people but also to adapt myself to different situations or see things from another perspective.
I'm a passionate person. When I like something I put a lot energy to learn about it, to build it or to get it. Some years ago I accomplished my dream of having a camper van by buying a truck and build it by myself (well, ok... with my partner).
I was born and raised in Rota, a little town in Cádiz in the south of Spain. Once I started my Bachelor's in sociology I moved to Granada, the last year I did my Erasmus in Berlin and then, I moved to Madrid to do a Master in Social Research Methodology. Once I finished it, I started working for a NGO as a project manager.
I think that having a psychologist father made me a good listener and analytical about people’s problems since I was young. I kept this interest and I decided to study sociology and ended up working for an NGO trying to solve people's problems or improve their situations.
Beside I’m really proud of the work that I did, I’ve  always been interested in design, and since I discovered UX/UI design career I kept reading about it. Also, I feel that most of the social research ends up forgotten in a drawer. Instead, UX/UI projects study user's problems with a fascinating design-thinking approach and comes up with solutions and keep improving their products.
‍
I would like to keep making a better world by designing products that humanize technology by answering to user needs.
